President’s Message

Chapter 296 October 2021

A Message from our President, Larry Sartori

Happy Fall to you all and welcome to your October Newsletter. I hope everyone is feeling well. Looks like we are at the start of our “almost perfect weather season.

October is the gateway to the holiday season. Might not seem like that since we are currently having warmer than usual weather. I know cool days are just ahead of us. With that being said, our Social Director, Corine Weber is working on our annual Holiday Party. Tentative dates are December 5th and 12th. Details are pending, we will keep you posted.

Our Chapter Zoom meeting will take place on October 19th at 7:00pm. Our guest speaker is Aida Salhab, a Heart Failure Nurse Navigator from Orlando Health. Please see flyer in the newsletter for further information. Hoping you can all make it.

I would like to welcome our newest member, Lynda Potter to our Chapter. Happy to have you join us.

It looks like cases of the Covid Delta Virus are declining. I hope that in the near future we can start having our meetings in person. If you are interested the booster vaccine shot is available for those who qualify. Joan and I got our booster shot yesterday…. OUCH!

In closing, looking forward to seeing you at our Zoom meeting and if anyone knows of any speakers we could invite to future meetings, please let me know.

Also, Happy Halloween. Don’t eat too much candy!

Till next time, Stay SAFE!

Peace to all,

Larry

Chapter 296 September 2021

A Message from our President, Larry Sartori

Hello everyone and welcome to your September Newsletter.  I trust you all had a safe, healthy summer.

As you might remember we celebrated our 20th Chapter Anniversary in July.  It was a very nice event and was a pleasure seeing many of you in person.

As you are aware Covid 19 Delta has been affecting many people in our country and in particular, we in Central Florida have had and still are having many such patients with covid.  So, keep your guard up and be aware of this dreaded disease.

On a happy note, September is our transitional month going from summer to fall.  September 22nd is the first day of Fall.  It’s almost time for pumpkins and our new harvest of apples.  Personally, I like this time of year and looking forward to making apple-pie and fall activities.

I would like to welcome 2 new members to our chapter.  Joe Blasko and Manuel Ferreira.  So glad you have joined our chapter community.  Also, congratulations to Angela Stein for completing her requirement on becoming a Mended Hearts visitor to patients at Advent Health Hospital.

We are planning to have another chapter zoom meeting on September 21st at 7pm.  We are currently looking for a guest speaker for that event. More information will be forthcoming.  Just a reminded, our monthly meetings take place the third Tuesday of every month at 7pm.

In closing, I wish everyone a Happy Labor Day.

Stay SAFE & PEACE till next time.

Peace to all,

Larry
